This restored 1822 residence of Sir William Campbell, appointed Chief Justice of Upper Canada in 1825, is the oldest remaining building from the original city of York. The structure is classic Georgian architecture, a rare find in the region, and has served as a museum since 1974, when the Queen Mother officially opened it. Originally constructed on Duke Street (now Adelaide), it was moved to its present location at Queen Street West and University. Guided half-hour tours of the building are available throughout the day.
